1 Arab Wool
Wool clipped from sheep raised on the plains of Mesopotamia. It is usually washed on the sheep's back; of fine quality, crinkly fibre, and bright appearance; used for making blankets and the coarser fabrics. -

A garment worn by priests in ancient Rome, generally of wool and capacious in form. It was also used by the rich as an extra outer garment or robe of state; and the same kind of article was worn by the poor, probably from the capacious and simple character, like the burnous of the Arab. -
